Specialist Quality Assurance Engineer Department The Quality Assurance Department in Shanghai exists of 3 Quality Professionals and has a close working relation with both Supply Chain organization in Asia-Pacific and the Global QA organization located in the Netherlands. The purpose of the QA organization is to ensure parts and products are delivered and installed First Time Right. We achieve this by working together in a strong network of professionals within R&D, Service, Purchasing, Engineering and Project Management. We own the process of Product Quality Issue Solving and are chairing the Field Quality Board. This board consists of representatives from R&D, Service, Supply Chain, Engineering and Project Management and monitor the Quality of our products in the field. Next to that the QA department also takes care of the process of Releasing Parts and Products in the Supply Chain. Moreover, we ensure the qualification of suppliers prior to doing business with them. You are reporting to the team leader Quality Assurance located in Shanghai. Function Your main target is to solve and prevent quality problems for in- and external customers. To achieve this you are able to perform product-and process analysis, audits and data analysis. You are able to define and lead improvement projects within a multidisciplinary team. You understand the importance of working with and influencing stakeholders in and outside your department and company. You are able to build a relation with suppliers and customers without losing your ability to focus on business risk and result. Your strength is to oversee the whole picture with maintaining attention for detail. You know how to work with LEAN/SIX Sigma methods, 8D and PPAP. You are able to perform in- and external audits and assessments. Communication and interview skills are key. The function requires drive and initiative. Key is a pro-active attitude focused on preventing problems and learning from previous mistakes. Tasks Set up quality assurance system in Supply Chain AP for Supplier and continues improvement. Organize or participant external quality audit. Follow up the audit plans and corrective actions.Implementing quality continuous improvement activities with supplier to develop suppliers to meet VI standard and requirement.Early involvement of product development, working together with R&D to define dimension inspection criteria e.g. equipment, method, tolerance etc.Feedback to R&D and sourcing manager with optimization ideas.Involve Supply Selection Your Profile Bachelor or master’s in industrial, Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringAuditor (or willing to follow training)Customer oriented, drive to improve. Excellent communication skillsTeam playerAnalytical – able to perform statistical analysisExperience with Problem Solving methods, SPC, PPAPExperience in a production environment is considered as an advantageAble to set the standard without losing your pragmatismEnglish communication
